Nawab Rajendran is dead

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Oct. 10. Veteran journalist and anti-corruption crusader Nawab Rajendran passed away here today. He was 55.

Rajendran, who was undergoing treatment for cancer, had been staying in a lodge near the Medical College Hospital after being discharged from the Regional Cancer Centre four months ago.

Rajendran was found lying unconscious in his room this morning.

The lodge manager, who was alerted by a cleaning woman, arranged for an ambulance. He was declared dead on being brought to the Medical College Hospital.

As per his request, the body will be donated to the Medical College.

Rajendran's body will be kept in the Press Club on Saturday morning for the public to pay homage.
