‘People’s aspirations in vision document’

KANNUR: The Puducherry Vision 2025 presented by the Chamber of Indian Industry (CII) and the Sriram Charitable Trust (SCT) reflects the views and aspirations of people. It was prepared after broad-based consultations with all stakeholders across all the regions of the State including Mahe, Yanam and Karakkal, according to a CII press release.

The document was released by Puducherry Chief Minister V. Vaithilingam at a function in Puducherry on February 28. Home Minister E. Valsaraj, who represents the Mahe constituency, was also among those present at the function, the release said.

Sriram Subramanya, chairman, CII, Puducherry, was also present at the function. The release said the CII and the SCT had joined hands for building a comprehensive vision for Puducherry. It would play an inspirational role in facilitating the State’s transformation, the release said.

The document had been prepared keeping in mind the developmental needs of the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors in the State, the release stated.
