Konkan Railway announces monsoon timetable

Timings of several long-distance trains revised

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Konkan Railway has decided to implement a separate timetable from June 15 to October 31 in order to ensure safety of passengers and to maintain punctuality of the long-distance trains passing through the Konakan route during the monsoon season.

The timings of several long-distance trains originating and departing from railway stations in Kerala and passing through Konkan Railway have been revised.

A release from Southern Railway here recently said the 6337/6338 Okha-Ernakulam Express would be partially cancelled between Hapa and Okha during the period. The departure of the 2620 Mangalore-Lokmanya Tilak Matsyagandha Express and the 2617 Mangala Express has been advanced. Train number 2620 will depart at 11a.m. and 2617 at 10.40 a.m.

The 6312 Thiruvananthapuram-Jodhpur Express will depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 3.15 p.m. and reach Jodhpur the third day at 7.35 p.m. The 6311 Jodhpur-Thiruvananthapuram Express will depart from Jodhpur at 11.55 p.m. to reach Thiruvananthapuram Central the fourth day at 7.10 a.m.

The 6336 Nagercoil-Gandhidham Express will depart from Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. to reach Gandhidham the third day at 4 p.m. The 6335 Gandhidham-Nagercoil Express will depart from Gandhidham at 5.20 a.m. to reach Nagercoil the third day at 10.30 a.m.

The 6334 Thiruvananthapuram-Hapa Express will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 3.15 p.m. to reach Hapa the third day at 4.05 p.m. The 6333 Hapa-Thiruvananthapuram Express will depart from Hapa at 5.25 a.m. and will arrive at Thiruvananthapuram at 7.10 a.m. the third day.

The 6338 Ernakulam-Hapa Express will depart from Ernakulam at 7.15 p.m. to reach Hapa the third day at 4.05 a.m. The 6337 Hapa-Ernakulam Express will depart from Hapa at 5.25 a.m. to reach Ernakulam the third day at 1.50 a.m.

The 2617 Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala Express will depart from Ernakulam at 10.40 a.m. to reach Nizamuddin the third day at 3.15 p.m. The 2618 Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Express will depart from Nizamuddin at 9.50 a.m. to reach Ernakulam the third day at 1.30 p.m. The 2431 Thiruvananthapuram-Nizamuddin Express will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 7.15 p.m. to reach Nizamuddin the third day at 6.50 p.m. The 2432 Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Express will depart from Nizamuddin at 11 a.m. to reach Thiruvananthapuram the third day at 9.40 p.m.

The 6346 Thiruvananthapuram-Lokmanya Tilak Netravati Express will depart at 10 a.m. from Thiruvananthapuram to reach Lokmanya Tilak the second day at 8.05 p.m. The 6345 Lokmanya Tilak-Thiruvananthapuram Netravati Express will depart from Lokmanya Tilak at 11.40 a.m. to reach Thiruvananthapuram the second day at 11.55 p.m.

The 2977 Marusagar Express will depart from Ernakulam at 7.55 p.m. to reach Jaipur the third day at 4 p.m.

The 2978 Marusagar Express will depart from Jaipur at 10.05 a.m. to reach Ernakulam the third day at 6 a.m.

The 2653 Kerala Samparkakranti Express will depart from Kochuveli at 6 p.m. to reach Nizamuddin the third day at 10.20 p.m.

The 2654 Kerala Samparkakranti Express will depart from Nizamuddin at 7.25 a.m. to reach Kochuveli at 9.30 a.m. the third day. The 1098 Poorna Express will depart from Ernakulam at 11 p.m. to reach Pune the third day at 5 a.m.

The 1097 Poorna Express will depart from Pune at 11.10 p.m. to reach Ernakulam the third day at 6 a.m.

Railways have requested passengers who have purchased tickets for journey beyond June 15 to check the departure timings from nearby railway stations before undertaking the journey, the release said.
