KC(J) State camp begins tomorrow

PATHANAMTHITTA: Kerala Congress (Joseph) is holding its State camp at Mar Thoma Youth Centre in Adoor from July 15 to 16. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, the KC(J) State general secretaries D.K. John and John K. Mathews said that the party chairman and the former Education Minister P.J. Joseph would inaugurate the camp on Friday morning.

They said that the camp would discuss the party's political strategy for the coming elections to the local bodies, besides the steps to be taken to equip the party machinery for the polls.

The KC(J) working chairman K.C. Joseph, MLA, will preside over the inaugural function. The former Vice-Chancellor of Kerala University B. Iqbal will present a paper on the public health sector in the State in the afternoon.

Michael Tharakan of the Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram, will deliver a lecture on `Local Self-Governments and Agriculture Development.' K.C. Sunny will present a paper on `Panchayatiraj-Nagarpalika'. The camp will come to a close with a discussion on organisational matters.
