Jan Shatabdi's maiden run today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Oct. 31. Rail mart and mini pantry in each coach for supplying food and beverages to the commuters, full vestibule connection and designated maximum speed of 120 km per hour are the features of the Jan Shatabdi Express that will commence its journey from tomorrow between Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram Central.

In addition, sunk-in-type fluorescent lamps with ducting arrangement have been provided at the centre of all coaches for better ambience and light dispersal. The roof and sidewalls are lined with glass wool to provide insulation from heat.

The 2075 train will depart on all days from Ernakulam Junction at 5-15 p.m., 6-33 p.m. from Alappuzha, 8-13 p.m. from Kollam to reach Thiruvananthapuram Central at 9-30 p.m.

In the return direction, the 2076 will depart from Thiruvananthapuram Central at 5-50 a.m., Kollam at 6-53 a.m., Alappuzha at 8-30 a.m. to reach Ernakulam Junction at 9-45 a.m.
