'Issues in Cong. have wide ramifications'

THRISSUR SEPT. 21. The chairman of the KPCC Disciplinary Committee and former KPCC president, C.V. Padmarajan, today said that the issues the Congress party was facing in Kerala could not be addressed by mere disciplinary action as they had deep and wide ramifications.

Mr. Padmarajan, who is also the State president of the Kerala Urban Banks Federation, made this observation in a talk with reporters after attending the inaugural function of the Thrissur District Urban Bank's head office building.

Asked about the "war of words" among Congress workers in connection with the Ernakulam by-election, Mr. Padmarajan said action can be taken against them only by the party high command and the party president, Sonia Gandhi.
