PATHANAMTHITTA: The police have strengthened its intelligence service in Sabarimala following the arrest of three workers of a seasonal packed food outlet near Malikappuram on Tuesday for allegedly carrying fake photo identity cards.

The police said they also had fake police clearance certificates, which they managed to obtain from the Palani police station in Tamil Nadu.

The police have produced them before the Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court in Ranni on Wednesday. Pampa Circle Inspector Muhammed Rashi said they were remanded in Pathanamthitta sub-jail.

There were also reports of several workers "missing" from various shops and eateries in Sannidhanam and Pampa following the arrests.
