This was informed in a press release issued by the office of Health Minister K.K. Shylaja, who represents the constituency.
It said that the land being acquired included 160 acres in Mokery village, 170 acres in Cheruvanchery village and 176 acres in Puthur village.
Medicine device park
The District Collector has been entrusted the charge of acquiring the land. The release said that a medicine device park manufacturing all surgical instruments would be mainly established in the land.
At present only Telangana has a medicine device park, the release added. The Industries Department had earlier granted administrative sanction for setting up the park in the constituency.
The industrial park would not only pave the way for developmental opportunities in the constituency, it would also provide job opportunities for a large number of people, the release noted.
The release said that Kinfra had been entrusted with the charge of acquiring the land in areas closer to land, water and aviation transport facilities in different parts of the State.
