IMA to adopt backward villages

KOCHI, MARCH 17. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) will adopt backward villages to provide comprehensive medical aid to the rural populace.

Under a project `Aao Gaon Chalen' (Let us go to the villages), 89 villages in Kerala will be adopted. The programme will be inaugurated on March 18 at Payipra in Muvattupuzha by the Governor, R.L. Bhatia. The project would be launched in economically backward areas, the State president of IMA, P.K. Mohammed Rasheed, said at a press conference on Wednesday.
