Hotel employee found dead

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JUNE 1. A 24-year-old hotel employee was found lying fatally injured under the flyover at Thampanoor by the police in the early hours of Tuesday.

The police identified the deceased as Jibu Krishnan, service manager of Hotel Horizon in Thampanoor.

The police said that a Flying Squad vehicle had found Jibu Krishnan lying unconscious under the flyover bridge at around 1.45 a.m.

He was rushed to the Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries later. The Sub-Inspector (Thampanoor), Sasindran Nair, said that Jibu Krishnan was last seen alive by his colleagues, who were holding a party at their lodge in Chenthitta. Jibu Krishnan had left the party at around 1 a.m. Mr. Nair said Jibu stayed at a lodge on Muttakada road. Police said Jibu's friends had rung him up twice on his mobile telephone after he had left the party.

Police suspect Jibu to have fallen to his death from the flyover. A case of unnatural death has been registered and investigations were on.
