Being organised as part of the Malabar Shopping Festival

KOZHIKODE: North Zone Inspector-General of Police M.N. Krishnamurthy inaugurated the helicopter ride organised as part of the month-long Malabar Shopping Festival at the Kozhikode Medical College grounds here on Monday.

Kozhikode Corporation Standing Committee Chairman on Town Planning Kanangott Haridas accompanied him on the inaugural ride. Captain K.N.G. Nair is supervising the helicopter rides.

A six-seater Chetak helicopter is being used for the ride. Visitors to the festival can have a ride to have an aerial view of Kozhikode city for 5 to 10 minutes. The timings are from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The facility will be made available till December 31. King Rotters and Air Chartered Private Limited have arranged the helicopter. The rate for a person is Rs.1, 000. Contact 0495-3052514/5/6 for bookings.

Bungee jumping organised on the Kozhikode beach is attracting visitors from various parts of North Kerala. Large crowds are also thronging the Jumbo Circus at the Swapna Nagari. One of the main attractions of the show is the performance of artistes from Russia.

All the stalls at the trade fair are flooded with shoppers right from the morning.
