`Government not for any hasty decision'

KOZHIKODE, AUG. 1. The State Government is exploring the possibility of solving the crisis in the fee structure in the self-financing professional colleges without rushing ahead with its decision to include the Kerala Self-Financing Professional Colleges (Prohibition of Capitation Fees and Procedures for Administration and Fixation of Fees) Act in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution.

Addressing a news conference here today, the Industries Minister, P.K. Kunhalikutty, said the priority of the Government was to wriggle out of the present dilemma while subscribing to the interim verdict of the Supreme Court.

The process involved in incorporating the Kerala Self-Financing Professional Colleges Act in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution was time consuming, he added.
