Fun and frolic

To mark the 100th year of operations of the United Kingdom-based insurance giant Allianz Cornhill, the staff of the company's Indian subsidiary, Allianz Cornhill Information Services (ACIS), got together on November 27 for an evening of fun and frolic.

The programme got under way inside a specially set up waterproof dome at the Sooryakanthi ground, Kanakakkunnu palace, with Allianz Cornhil CEO Andrew Torrance as the chief guest.

On the list of special invitees were big shots from the industry and the Government. The in-house talent of the ACIS kicked off the entertainment programme.

This was followed by a folk dance by children from the Divine Providence Convent, Vithura. The institution is supported by `Hands of Hope,' the charity committee of the ACIS.

The company had lined up a host of celebrity performers such as Leslie Lewis (of the Colonial Cousins fame), Shalini Singh, Jazzie Gift, Vidhu Pratap and music director Balabhaskar to enliven the evening.
