Call to fight against revisionism in CPI(M)

Staff Reporter

PALAKKAD: Porattam, a revolutionary organisation headed by the former Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) leader M.N. Ravunni, has urged the "revolutionaries in the CPI(M), including Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan, to fight against revisionism and right wing policies of the State leadership of that party.''

In a statement here on Saturday, Mr. Ravunni said that by sidelining Mr. Achuthanandan, who had taken up the cause of the people, the present leadership of the CPI(M) was supporting reactionary and anti-people right wing policies of the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

The CPI(M), which claimed to be a revolutionary party, had gone after parliamentary ambitions, forgetting revolutionary and socialist ideals.
