AI's maiden Haj flight from capital city

Thiruvananthapuram: Air-India's first direct Haj flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Jeddah will take off on Sunday. The AI 5505 flight with passengers of Alhind Tours and Travel would leave Thiruvananthapuram at 7 p.m. Ratan Ghosh, Manager of Air-India, will hand over the first boarding pass to a Haj pilgrim. — Staff Reporter

Trust set up for the differentally abled

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Welfare Association for Rehabilitation of Differentally Abled (WARD), a charitable trust, has been set up by parents of differentally-abled children and the Department of Kaumarabhrithya, Government Ayurveda College. Governor R.L. Bhatia will inaugurate the activities of the WARD at a function here on December 6. The association will provide free Ayurvedic treatment and other rehabilitation measures for the ailing children, especially those belonging to economically backward families. — Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister K.K. Ramachandran said that special care would be accorded to physically disabled persons at all facilities run by the Health Department in the State. An order to this effect was issued by the Government on Saturday, an official release said. — Staff Reporter
