Trawling ban from today midnight

KOCHI: As the ban on trawling imposed by the State Government will come into effect from midnight of June 14, if any fishing vessels operating in Kochi are planning to move to other centres, they should do so before the deadline ends, said Fisheries Deputy Director in a statement here on Sunday. Once the ban is in force, mechanised trawling boats will not be allowed to leave Kochi. Those vessels planning to stay back should possess valid documents and these should be produced when demanded by officials concerned. — Staff Reporter
