Petrol pumps to remain closed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAMTHIRUVANANTHAPURAMKOCH: Petrol pumps will remain closed on April 18 in response to the strike called by the Federation of All India Petroleum Traders. The traders are protesting against the long-pending demand for revising dealers' commission and a few other demands to take on competition from private oil companies. All outlets will remain closed from the midnight of April 17 to the midnight of April 18.

Jet Airways flights rescheduled

THIRUVANANTHAPURAMTHIRUVANANTHAPURAMKOCH: The Kochi Branch of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics will organise a seminar on neuro-developmental and behavioural disorders in children on Sunday. Discussions on early intervention and surgical managements of motor disabilities like cerebral palsy will be held during the seminar. Experts will speak on neuro-psychiatric assessments and remedial measures of behavioural disorders.

Dog show

THIRUVANANTHAPURAMTHIRUVANANTHAPURAMKOCH: Kochi Kennel Club will organise a dog show on Monday. The Minister for Fisheries and Sports, Dominic Presentation, will inaugurate the show at Rajendra maidan. Dogs from Kolkatta, Bangalore, Chennai, Ootty, Coimbatore and Hyderabad are participating in the event. The profit from the show will be utilised to eradication of stray dogs.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAMTHIRUVANANTHAPURAMKOCH: Bollywood actor Sachen Khedeker, who is playing the role of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, in a forthcoming film, said that the film would throw light into various aspects of the great leader. Mr. Khedeker is in the city to undergo a rejuvenation therapy at Punarnava Ayurveda Hospital. The last five years of Netaji's life will be portrayed in the film.
