Youths arrested

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two youths allegedly involved in chain-snatching cases in the city were arrested on Tuesday. A police team, led by the Circle Inspector, Fort, Najmal Hassan, arrested Nawas Kabeer, 22, of Parakum junction and Subash, 20, of Pallichal. They are accused in chain-snatching cases registered in the police stations at Karamana, Poojappura, Museum, Pettah and Vanchiyoor.

Gang

The Peroorkada police arrested two youths allegedly of a gang involved in chain-snatching, assault and hurling of bombs. The arrested are Ranjith, 21, alias Kuttan, of Thozhuvancode and Jeevan, alias Jeevanmohan, of Karakulam. Ranjith is an accused in six cases in the Vattiyoorkavu police station.
