SSLC: 34,418 students in Kannur

KANNUR: As many as 34,418 students in the district appeared for the SSLC examinations that began here on Monday.

The candidates included 17,254 boys and 17,164 girls. As many as 186 examination centres were set up in the district. There were no hassles on the first day of the examination as the Education Department had made elaborate arrangements for the conduct of the examination.

C.H. Memorial High School in the Kannur education district was the examination centre where the highest number of students appeared for the examination: 904.

The lowest number of candidates was in the Chirakkara Government High School in the Thalassery education district with only 16 students for the examination.

The candidates who are appearing for the SSLC examination in the district come from 196 schools.

The number of students appearing this time is 389 less than that of last year.

Highest in Malappuram

Malappuram Staff Reporter writes: As many as 72,000 students took the SSLC examination in the district as the State's largest school examinations began on Monday. The district has the distinction of fielding the largest number of students in the examinations.There were 226 centres in the district.
