Thiruvananthapuram: Muslims across the district celebrated Id-ul-Fitr (Cheriya Perunnaal) on Saturday, marking the conclusion of the month of fasting and prayers.

Prayers, feasting and relief activities marked the celebrations. Thousands of Muslims offered Id namaz at Id- gahs in the city and exchanged greetings.

Large gatherings were present for the Id namaz at the Putherikandam Maidan, the mosques at Manacaud and Kesavadasapuram, specially-arranged Id gahs and at prayer halls at various places.
