Plea for a park

Around 52 cents of excess land in Sastrinagar in Karamana ward was surrendered to the Revenue Department as per the State government’s orders. The Sastrinagar Association had spent about Rs.50,000 for raising this land, which was a paddy field, up to the road level. There are about 300 residents in Sastrinagar and there is no open space for children to play. If the government transfers the aforesaid land to the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation to set up a park there it will benefit the residents immensely. A park is a long cherished wish of Sastrinagar residents.

Shelter from sun

Commuters bound to Kattakkada from Thampanoor bus station have to wait for long, braving the sun near the KSRTC cloak room building on the eastern side. The KSRTC should take provide a waiting shed for commuters at this place.

Danger on two wheels

Overtaking by the left side, especially by two-wheeler riders, is on the rise. This poses danger not only to vehicle users but also to those alighting from or boarding buses at bus stops. Authorities must come up with stringent rules against this.
