Staff Reporter

KOZHIKODE: The People's Democratic Party has demanded the release of PDP leader Abdul Nasir Maudany from the Tamil Nadu jail.

PDP State general secretary Gafoor Puthuppady wanted the Government and all democratic- minded people to intervene urgently to seek his release.

The party would have no other option but to resort to protest programmes to demand the release of the PDP leader if the Tamil Nadu Government did not release him.

A meeting would be held in Kollam on February 21 to discuss details of the protest programmes. A protest declaration would be made at a convention in Kochi on February 23.
