Nazir in police custody till April 6

KANNUR: Thadiyantavide Nazir, suspected terror operative, was on Wednesday sent to police custody till April 6 in connection with the investigation into the planting of country-made bombs near an uninhabited plot under the Kannur city police station limits here in September 2008.

Judicial First Class Magistrate (II) N.R. Krishnakumar remanded Nazir to the custody of the Kannur city police which registered the case. He was one of the accused in the planting of three bombs near the Juma Masjid in the Kannur city area.

He was produced before the magistrate on Wednesday on completion of the police custody in connection with the investigation into the murder of Vinod at Kuruva under the Kannur city police station limits here on December 5, 2008.
