NIT, Durgapur, to conduct NIMCET-07

KOZHIKODE: National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, will conduct this year's all-India NIT MCA Entrance Test (NIMCET-07), the test conducted for admissions to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses in the NITs.

This was decided at a meeting of all directors of NITs conducting MCA courses held at NIT, Calicut (NIT-C) here on January 11. G.R.C.Reddy, director, NIT-C, presided over the meeting. The meeting also decided to continue with the common entrance examination for MCA admissions. NIT, Durgapur will be issuing the notification for the examination in the first week of February. Nearly 10, 000 students took NIMCET-06 for admissions to about 480 seats in MCA courses conducted by nine NITs Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Surathkal, Tiruchirapalli, Raipur and Warangal. NIMCET-06 was conducted by NIT-C.
