Murder case: car seized

Thrissur: The police on Thursday seized a car as part of the investigation into the Arakkal Vinod murder case. A six-member gang had hacked to death Arakkal Vinod, the first accused in a case related to the murder of CPI(M) activist Mujeeb Rahman, at Kaithamukku in Pavaratty on Tuesday around 7 p.m.

Mujeeb Rahman,was hacked to death at Elavathur, near Pavaratty, on January 20, 2006. The car is suspected to have been used by the gang that murdered Vinod. The police said the vehicle was hired by two students from a car rental agent.
