“Millions of travellers rely on TripAdvisor for travel inspiration. So we are thrilled and humbled that Munnar has been honoured by travellers this year,” Kerala Tourism Secretary V. Venu said on the rare honour for the hill station. Munnar has long been a favourite with both Indian honeymooners and foreign tourists.

Stunning topography

It has been attracting adventure travellers, who are enamoured of the stunning topography, which is ideal for paragliding, trekking and rock climbing.

Nature lovers usually make a beeline for Eravikulam National Park, which is home to colourful wildlife, including the endangered Nilgiri tahr, ruddy mongoose and 120 bird species.
