KOCHI: The national general council of the All India Kisan Sabha began here on Saturday with State president V. Chamunni hoisting the flag at the Rajendra Maidan. It is being held at the C. Achuta Menon hall.
Kochi Mayor Mercy Williams inaugurated the agricultural produce exhibition at Rajendra Maidan. Organising committee chairman P. Raju presided. Minister for Forest Benoy Viswom, Sabha national president C.K. Chandrappan, MP, general secretary Atul Kumar Anjan, corporation standing committee chairman E.M. Sunil Kumar, AIYF district president T.C. Sanjith, and district panchayat vice-president K.N. Sugathan spoke.
Mr. Anjan presented a report at the general council, which was presided over by Mr. Chandrappan. Minister for Revenue K.P. Rajendran will inaugurate a seminar on Sunday. Minister for Agriculture Mullakkara Ratnakaran will inaugurate the valedictory meeting of the 70th anniversary of Kisan Sabha. The exhibition will be on till August 13.
