PALAKKAD: The police here have arrested Shajan, 33, for murdering a woman, Leni, alias Malavika, 42, who had been staying with him for four years in a rented house at Puthur here.
Shajan allegedly murdered Leni, cut her body into pieces and disposed of them in different parts of the town and Kochi.
Addressing mediapersons here on Saturday, Inspector-General of Police (Thrissur Range) P. Vijayanand and District Superintendent of Police Vijay Sakhare said that the murder was meticulously planned to derail the investigation. The accused confessed to the crime.
