Five-day music festival from May 1

PALAKKAD: A five-day music festival organised in connection with the second Prathishta Dinam of the Sree Krishna temple at Kulapully, near Shoranur, will start with a classical and devotional music programme by M.K. Sankaran Namboodiri on May 1. Edapally Ajith Kumar will be on the violin, Balakrishna Kamath on the Mridangam and Manjur Unnikrishnan on the Ghatom.

On May 2, G.S.K. Sampathkumar will present Taranga Gaanam, with R. Subramanyam on the violin and B. Suresh Babu on the Mridangam. On May 3, P. Unnikrishnan will present classical and devotional music with Symphony Orchestra, Palakkad.

On May 4, Embar R. Kasturi will sing, with Anayampatti G. Venkata Subramanian on the violin, B. Ganapathy Raman on the Mridangam and Nerkunam Sankar on the Kanjeera.

On May 5, the programme will be performed by Padamabhushan Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman (Mridangam); M.A. Sundarsewaran (violin); E.M. Subramanian (Ghatom); B. Shreesundarkumar (Kanjeera) and A.S. Krishnan (Morsing).
