Electricity board nod to install high-mast streetlights

KOLLAM: The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has given the clearance to erect eight high-mast towers at eight important junctions of various towns in the district. The project was cleared at a meeting convened by P. Rajendran, Member of Parliament, with senior KSEB officials and others here on Saturday. The junctions where the high-mast towers will be erected are Paripally, Chathannur, Kottiyam, Anchalumoodu, Karunagapally, Ochira, Bharanikavu and Kundara Mukkada.

The cost of the whole project had been put at Rs.36 lakh, sources in the electricity board said.
