Kozhikode: Forest pathologist V. M. Gangadharan Nair, a native of Kozhikode, died at Wisconsin, U.S., on March 10, his relatives here said on Friday. He was 80. Dr. Gangadharan Nair was an alumnus of the Madras Christian College, Chennai. He later became a Distinguished Professor at the University of Wisconsin and also served as a member of the United Nations Forestry Conservation Board and as a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences in India. He is survived by his wife Elezabeth Nair. — Special Correspondent
