Countdown for pre-counselling event

Special Correspondent

KOCHI: The countdown has begun for the pre-admission guidance programme being organised by The Hindu-Educationplus in Kochi on June 14 for the benefit of those seeking entry to professional courses in engineering, medical and other streams. Students have only a few more days left to register themselves for the event.

At the programme, which is being organised at A. J. Hall, Kaloor, an eminent panel of experts will make presentations on a range of topics pertaining to the selection of courses and institutions for study and the centralised allotment process (CAP) itself.

The presentation pertaining to the allotment process will focus on the modalities involved in registering one’s course and college options and the points that the students have to keep in mind to achieve the desired results.

Presentations on courses in the engineering and medical streams will provide students with an overview of the course options, and try to help them gain a clear idea about the scope of the key courses.

The role of soft skills in career building will also be discussed.

Students will have an opportunity to have their doubts cleared at a question and answer session with the panellists.

The event is being organised in association with State Bank of Travancore (SBT) and co-sponsored by Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E).

A handbook providing a detailed overview the various courses in the professional stream will be provided free to each participant.

Entry to the programme is on a first come first served basis and students can register themselves in advance on payment of the registration fee of Rs.50 each.

The registration form is available at the office of the The Hindu (Address: NH Bypass road, Vyttila junction, Kochi 682 019, Phone: 0484-2301653, 2307836.)
