Corruption to be highlighted

KOZHIKODE: `Save civil service, reform civil service' is the slogan being highlighted by a State-level vehicle campaign of the State Committee of Joint Council from January 8 to 20.

The campaign from the northern districts was launched in Kasaragod by Pannian Ravindran, MP, and was expected to join the campaign procession from Parassala at Thrissur on January 20.

In a statement here recently, C.R. Jose Prakash, general secretary, said the objective of the campaign was to highlight the corruption in the Civil Services and the need to suspend those who were involved in corruption charges from the service.

The Joint Council, among others, demanded that the anomalies in wage revision be rectified and a commission to examine the problems being faced by women employees in the State service be appointed.
