BJP candidate files complaint

KOZHIKODE: BJP’s candidate from the Kozhikode Lok Sabaha constituency V. Muraleedharan has lodged a complaint with the returning officer against a voter alleging that he had cast two votes in two booths in the constituency.

The party’s polling agent had raised objections on the polling day, the complaint said. The complaint stated that Sukumaran, 32, son of Damodaran, of Kadukkamkuzhy house in Karuvannur in Koyilandy taluk, had cast his vote in Balussery as 1301 number voter in the 014 booth at Government UP School, Karuvannur using the Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) number DYX 1763648. He also voted as voter number 237 in the 005 booth at Government Welfare School, Kavil in Kavunthara in the same Assembly constituency using the EPIC number KL\03\021\333198.
