KOCHI: The Agnistoma Somayagam will begin at the Aluva Sivarathri Manappuram on April 25. The yagam will conclude on May 1, Yagam organising committee general convener Kanyakulangara Subramanian Potty, convener Jayagopan and joint convener Alappat Muraleedharan told a press conference.

According to the organisers, arrangements for the ritual are nearing completion. The yagasala with four upasalas has been made as per Vedic architecture with bamboo and coconut fronds. The yagasala comprises huts for the Vedic scholars, kitchen, store and so on. A 3-m wide ‘pradakshina veedhi’ has been made around the yagasala. Devotees can enter the ‘veedhi’ from the eastern gate.
