KOCHI: The Admission Supervisory Committee for Professional Colleges will hold a sitting on December 26 to finalise its move to cancel the affiliation of Karuna Medical College at Palakkad for allegedly collecting additional fee from MBBS students (merit quota) of 2007-08 batch.

A press release issued by the committee here on Tuesday said that the management had failed to abide by the committee decision to adjust the additional fee collected from students in the fee to be remitted this year.

The counsel for the students had on December 19 urged the committee to initiate action against the college management for their alleged failure in resolving the issue.

The committee sitting to be held on December 26 will pronounce a final verdict on the complaint filed by the students. It has also asked the management to explain its stance on the issue.
