Thiruvananthapuram: National secretary of AITUC Amarjit Kaur has described the Indo-U.S. nuclear agreement as a threat to the freedom and sovereignty of India. Inaugurating a convention of the trade union here on Saturday she said the Constitution should be amended to prevent signing of such deals without Parliament’s approval. She came out against the joint military exercise being held by the two countries on September 4. The AITUC would observe it as protest day. —Special Correspondent
