194 cases settled in Railway Pension Adalat

Claims for unsettled dues of retired railway personnel pertaining to 194 cases were resolved at the mid-term Adalat-2018 organised by Thiruvananthapuram railway division.

At the adalat presided over by the Divisional Railway Manager, Thiruvananthapuram, Shirish Kumar Sinha, a sum of Rs. 17,76,350 was sanctioned in the 194 cases that were settled.

In the adalat, that serves as a forum for redressal of grievance faced by the pensioners, 228 representations were received from the railway pensioners.

Thirty one representations found contradictory to existing rules were not accepted.

P. Jayakumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, L. Deepthi. Senior Divisional Finance Manager, along with officers from the Medical, Personnel and Accounts department were involved in settling the representations.

A medical camp was also organised by the Railways as part of the adalat.
