Zerodha launches support centre in Belagavi

Zerodha, a technology-driven brokerage firm, announced the launch of its new support centre in Belagavi on Tuesday.

The centre will help its clients in their queries towards investment and implement programmes for their financial literacy, Venu Madhav, chief operating officer, told presspersons.

The unit in Belagavi is a 150-seat support centre and will start with 20 employees. It will be an extension of the main operation centre at Bengaluru.

Zerodha has offices in Bengaluru, Belagavi, Hubballi, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru and Myuru in Karnataka.

Sharing its overall growth numbers for this financial year, he said Zerodha has a user base of over 8 lakh across the country and had grown nearly 300 percent in the last financial year.

“We became the largest retail broker in India by turnover on all the exchanges and segments, by monthly new client additions and direct mutual fund platform through Coin, an online tool to invest in mutual funds. We have developed KITE, the country’s first multilingual trading platform,” he said.
