MLA G.H. Thippareddy has said that BJP workers and supporters should make sincere efforts to help the party win the maximum number of seats in the coming council elections to hold the reigns of power in the city and other taluks of the district.
Speaking at a meeting of party workers and supporters here on Sunday to discuss preparations for the council elections, he said that the BJP has not been in power in the Chitradurga council owing to lack of co-ordination among the grassroots workers.
But this time, it is essential to capture power in the coming elections for the overall development of the city, he added.
