Train services resume

MYSORE Nov. 7. Train services between Mysore and Bangalore, which were suspended during the Cauvery agitation, resumed today. The train service between the two cities began with the push-pull Mysore-Bangalore leaving the railway station at 6 a.m. However, the number of passengers on the train was less than normal. The Bangalore-Mysore Passenger, which left Bangalore at 5.30 a.m., was the first train to arrive in Mysore at 9 a.m. The train reached Mysore without any disturbance en route, Railway authorities said. All other trains, including the Shatabdi Express, would run according to the scheduled timings, they said. However, police continued to be deployed in the station as a precautionary measure.
