Soldier from Belagavi killed

One of the two Border Security Force personnel killed in a blast in Chotiya village in Chhattisgarh was from Belagavi district. The blast was caused by an improvised explosive device that was allegedly planted by naxalites.

Santosh Goura 27, hailed from Halaga in Khanapur taluk. He had been serving in the BSF for seven years. His body is to be brought to his native place on Wednesday night, Belagavi police said.
