Seat selection for Mysore colleges put off

Bangalore Oct. 5. The Common Entrance Test Cell today announced that in view of the disturbances in Mysore and Mandya districts, the engineering seat selection process scheduled for October 6 for admission to evening colleges in Mysore has been postponed. The new date will be announced later.

Candidates who had applied for admission to evening engineering colleges in Mysore have been asked not to proceed to Bangalore for the seat selection process which was to be held on Sunday.

However, the engineering seat selection for evening colleges in Bangalore will be held as scheduled on Sunday.

The CET Cell also announced that the casual vacancy round medical/dental seat selection for Karnataka quota candidates concluded on Saturday and all seats had been filled.

A candidate with rank 845 selected the last GM medical seat and rank 3813 selected the last PKA medical seat. A candidate with rank 7048 selected the last GM dental seat and rank 21116 selected the last PKA dental seat.

The casual vacancy round engineering seat selection for reserved categories under the Karnataka quota for candidates from rank 1 to 20000 will be held on Monday. The engineering seats for reserved categories will be offered for selection on Monday.
