Baragur Ramachandrappa to be involved in cultural events

BANGALORE: A preliminary meeting of the high level committee on Dasara festivities in Mysore chaired by Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh here on Friday decided to earmark Rs. 4 crores for the 10-day State festival. The meeting decided to involve writer Baragur Ramachandrappa in the cultural events. However, no decision has been taken on the role of Prof. Baragur in the cultural events.

The meeting discussed various means and measures to mobilise resources to organise the cultural events in a grand manner. But for the estimated expenditure, the meeting did not decide on who will inaugurate the festival and the cultural events, official sources said.
