The Bellary District Chamber of Commerce and Industry had requested the General Manager of South Western Railway Trilok Nath Perti, to visit the chamber on Tuesday.

The chamber and members of the Bellary District Railway Action Committee, led by its president, K.M. Maheshwaraswamy, submitted separate memoranda to the official in Bellary and Hospet.

The memoranda urged the General Manager to introduce trains between Chennai and Mumbai passing through Bellary-Hospet, the extension of the Tirupati-Guntakal train to Bellary, extension of the passenger train to Mysore, and extension of the Hubli-Chennai train to Goa and Mumbai.
