New director for Kodagu Vidyalaya

Madikeri: The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan-Kodagu Vidyalaya has appointed Maj. C.U. Monnappa (retired) as Director of the institution, according to a press release from school vice-chairman K.P. Uthappa here on Friday.

Maj. Monnappa has put in 21 years of service in the Army before taking voluntary retirement to serve the field of education. He has remained vice-principal of the Nasr School, Hyderabad, and founder-president of the Cauvery Public School, Mandya.

Maj. Monnappa graduated from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, through the Army Cadet College, Dehradun.

He is an MBA with B.Ed., and a post-graduate in English and Hindi.
