A month-long marine fishing census in 360 marine fishing villages in the three districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada will begin from Monday. It will end on March 1. The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute would conduct the census as part of the national census. The last census was conducted in 2010. Information about marine fishermen families, fishing crafts and gears will be collected.
