‘Sangeet Sudha’ today

MANGALORE: Students of Nadasudha Sangeet Vidyalaya will showcase their classical music skills on Sunday at Ravindra Kalabhavan here at 1.30 p.m. The programme will be followed by a vocal concert by G. Srikanth of Chennai.

The programme, “Sangeet Sudha”, has been organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and Sangeeta Parishat, Mangalore, in association with the vidyalaya.


Following a presentation by junior students, their seniors will present concerts, including a rendition of pancharatna kritis, under the guidance of their teacher, Aruna Saraswati. Venugopal Shanubhog and Sharma Rao will accompany the singers on the violin, and Yogish Sharma and Manohar will play the mridanga.

Mr. Srikanth’s concert will begin at 5.30 p.m. He will be accompanied on the violin by Manjula Mrinalini and on the mridanga by Shankarnarayanan. Entry to the programme is free, a press release here said.
