Krishna Temple decides to stop Ede Snana

The Paryaya Palimar Mutt has decided to stop Ede Snana at the Subrahmanya shrine on the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple premises during the Subrahmanya Shashti celebrations here on Thursday.

Two years ago, Vishwesha Tirtha Swami of Pejawar Mutt during his fifth Paryaya (2016-18), decided to stop the Made Snana and had allowed Ede Snana in its place. But even this was stopped on Thursday.

Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Palimar Mutt told mediapersons that as many people had objected to the Ede Snana also and to keep unnecessary controversies at bay, he had decided to stop Ede Snana.

Instead prasadam was served to devotees at the dining hall of the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple, he said.

Instead, prayers were offered and rathotsava was held to mark the Subrahmanya Shashti festival here.

Later, speaking to presspersons, the Pejawar seer welcomed the decision of the Palimar seer, and said that Ede Snana was not necessary or inevitable.
