The Central Crime Branch police on Sunday arrested Kannada actor Jagadish S. and three others for possession of two country-made pistols. Along with the weapons, they also recovered 21 rounds of ammunition from them.

According to the police, one of the accused Mohammed Nizam, 25, a resident of Islampura in HAL, had sold a pistol and 10 rounds of ammunition to Jagadisha. “We got information that Nizam was into illegal arms trade. A police team raided his house. He confessed to selling the weapon to the actor,” said the accused.

The police later arrested Jagadish and recovered the pistol and 10 rounds of ammunition from him.

Further investigations led the police to other accused — B.G. Satish Kumar, 44, from New Thippasandra and Syed Sameer Ahmed, 32, from Kothanur. “We recovered the second country-made pistol and 11 rounds of bullets from them,” the police said. All four have been booked under the Arms Act.

Jagadish has acted in the Kannada film Sarkaar under the name Jaguar Jaggi.
